Wage period
-
Wage period shall be always considered one
month. It is unlawful for wage period to be more than a month.
Time of payment of wages
-
Employer need to pay the monthly salary latest
by 7 days after the end of the month
o
E.g. Salary for February, the payment of the salary
latest to be 7th of March.

For work done on rest day, public holiday and
overtime, Employer need to pay by the last day of the month
o
E.g. additional money to be pay by February 28th
Payment on normal termination of contract
The
salary need to be pay on the day of the contract terminated
Payment on termination of contract in special circumstances
and on breach of contract

The salary need to be pay on the day of the contract
termination or
-
The salary may need to be pay on the 3rd
day after the contract termination
Limitation on advances to employees
-
Usually are not allowed by the law, but under
certain circumstances provided if s/he requested for below matters, it maybe
approve:
o
Purchasing/build/improve house
o
Purchase land
o
Purchase of vehicle
o
Purchase the employer’s business share
o
Purchase a computer
o
Payment of medical expenses for him/her-self or
immediate family members
o
Payment of temporary disablement
o
Payment for educational expenses for him/her-self
or immediate family members
Wages not due for absence from work through imprisonment or
attendance in court

No salary to be pay on this matter during the
time s/he may need to serve the sentence.
