BDCM-B-Week19-BCL: Public Holiday by Holiday Acts 1951
1.
This is only applicable to the States of
Peninsular Malaysia and that includes federal territory (Kuala Lumpur,
Putrajaya and Labuan)
2.
Weekly holiday means Sunday or in some States it
would be Friday
3.
If the public holiday falls on the weekly
holiday, then the following day would be consider public holiday. If the following
day is happen to be a public holiday, then the following day will be consider
as public holiday.
a.
Example Scenario 1: if National day fall on the
Sunday, which happen to be weekly holiday, then Monday is the public holiday.
b.
Example Scenario 2: If above scenario to be
continue, where Monday is a public holiday of Deepavali, hence Tuesday is the
following public holiday.

Hari Kebangsaan or National Day
c.
Chinese New Year (One day for Kelantan and Terengganu,
Two days for other States)

Hari Raya Haji (Two days for Kelantan and Terengganu,
One day for other State)
