When an accountant that registers with Malaysia Institute of Accountants, it gives you the opportunity to practice as Company Secretary. So what is the Company Secretary? Company Secretary is not the normal secretary/clerk that helps in the daily administration or operation of the company.
Company Secretary and Auditor of the Sdn Bhd are among the top management position in the company. Company Secretary is generally responsible on regards of the company compliance towards to the law.
To be a Company Secretary, there is 3 ways whereby:-
1. Becoming Accountant
2. Becoming Lawyer
3. To take examination at Companies Commission of Malaysia
This Company Secretary is only applicable within Malaysia as different countries has different set of law that might not mimics or share the similarity.
